The lies and tall tales told about the Shepherd's Rod message and those who believe
Over the years certain ideas and stories have been commonly shared by leading men of the church and those who follow their direction with little or question. These have been spoken to any and all people who are reading and studying the additional message sent to God's last day people. While these are likely not the only things spoken, they are so common that they must be addressed to clear God's second message to His Church, which is of course you and I.
#1- "People who believe the shepherd's rod think that one day God will tell them to kill all other Seventh Day Adventists."
ANSWER- THIS IS A LIE. Anyone and everyone is welcome to read the entire message on this website for free. Those people who repeat this lie are never able to tell anyone which book and what page of the book says this. But they want everyone to believe it, despite there being no evidence.
When I began to have bible studies about the Shepherd's Rod message several people came to me personally fearing the worst and one in particular told me that he hasn't read all of the message but he did read a little bit and that he could tell that somewhere in there it can be seen, although possibly hidden, that killing SDA church members is in the message. I thanked him for his concern and decided in my own mind that if ever found such a teaching I would show everyone and warn everyone. That day never came. I have read, as have many others, every word written and published by Victor Houteff. Nowhere in any book does anything he say come close to such a thing. After all, Christ would not teach us to break the commandment that says "Thou shalt not kill". And The Shepherd's Rod message is the second testimony of Jesus Christ to us, the Seventh Day Adventists!

#2- "Shepherd's Rods want to take Adventists away from the church"
ANSWER- THIS IS TWO LIES IN ONE SENTENCE.
a) There is no such thing as a "Shepherd's Rod" except it be a stick of wood that a shepherd would use in his work, or it being the name of a Message sent by God. This is used to make it sound like a believer is no longer a Seventh Day Adventist, which is the first lie. The thousands of us that have read the message ourselves all know that it is sent to every Seventh Day Adventist, including us of course. To say a believer is a "shepherds rod" is the same as saying a person is a "spirit of prophecy" which I'm sure you agree is, a ridiculous thing to say. Therefore, there is no such change to take place. The change that DOES take place is that once any one of us begin feeding on spiritual meat instead of milk we naturally grow and become stronger in the Scriptures, stronger in the Spirit of Prophecy, and stronger in our relationship with God.
b) There is no teaching whatsoever that Seventh Day Adventists are to leave or be taken out of our Mother Church. In fact, Hosea chapters 1 and 2 are proof positive that we are not only to stay within the SDA Church, but that it absolutely IS WHERE ALL ADVENTISTS BELONG AND SHOULD BE. As an american it was exciting to find the United States in Bible Prophecy when I began studying the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation! How much MORE EXCITING it is to see the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Bible prophecy!! To see evidence that you and I are exactly where we should be, and that God has not only raised up our Church to do the greatest work in Earth's history working hand in hand with God is a beautiful Truth that means everything! God be Praised!
Unfortunately, so far the leadership of God's Church will not read it to see this for themselves. They have chosen to say this is from the devil himself with no proof. I pray one day they will be more open and willing to read for themselves like the Spirit of Prophecy and the Bible says we should do!
